Experimentation with LOST signs on a 3x3 grid
It has been argued that by varying the dimensions of LOST signs,
one can indicate which sign one conjectures was lost.
If this is true, one would expect that more than 4 LOST signs are needed.
To explore the benefits of additional signs, with the granularity of a 3x3 grid,
click on a fragment of hieroglyphic text below to open a graphical editor.
(This can be a bit slow, for unclear reasons.)
Once in the editor, click on a sign in the tree view, and click lost.
Now vary the dimensions of the lost sign and see what happens in the preview
at the top of the page.
Once done, close the page by clicking save (this doesn't actually save
the edits; the edits exist only as long as the editor page is open).
